TURKISH-CHINESE RELATIONS: AN INTRODUCTION

Today, it is arguably no prophecy and a secret that “the rise of China - and Asia - will, over the next decades, bring about a substantial reordering of the international system. The center of gravity of world affairs is shifting from the Atlantic to the Pacific.” On the other hand, in the contemporary world order, founded, sustained and dominated by the US, China is regarded by most of the scholars as the foremost candidate for a superpower status, which is expected to alter the unilateral world order and challenge the US hegemony.

FOCAC is the forum on China-Africa Cooperation and concluded with additional pledges of support from China in the form of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, loans and lucrative contracts.
